Animal Training and Displays Team Member – Full Time Position
Wild Discovery is a BIAZA accredited zoo that is continually growing and developing. We are looking for a highly motivated and hardworking person to join our Animal Display Team, providing the highest standards of care and welfare to a range of animals, working alongside the Head Animal Trainer.
The main duties of the role will include public presentation of animal displays and experiences, daily husbandry and enrichment tasks, record keeping and maintenance of the Display Teams area.
Currently the Animal Display Team has a range of bird species that feature in the public displays and experiences, however with the right candidate in position the displays team will grow to include mammals.
Previous experience of animal training would be ideal, however full training will be provided.
Successful candidates will be required to deliver a short presentation as part of their interview, details of this will be given to those invited for an interview.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will work on a rota basis, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings, therefore flexibility is essential.
