Animal Food Preparation Worker - Hamerton Zoo

A position has become available for a full time person to work within our animal food kitchen. To prepare specific diets for the whole animal collection, working with fruit, vegetables and meat. Also, to sort our fruit and vegetable deliveries and to stock rotate within our chillers and freezers.

Available to start as soon as possible, working 5 days per week with fixed days, including weekends and bank holidays. The salary is National Minimum Wage with 28 days holiday per year and you will be working from 9am until 3pm.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our small, friendly team.

Due to the physical nature of the job, applicants will need to be physically fit and healthy, and be fully prepared to work outside.

A full driving license is essential due to our rural location.
